Hiding to take Kratom? – Fear the Judgement of Loved Ones?
Does the fact that kratom is a green powder scare you from taking it around loved ones?
Well, I can relate to this aspect, however, once you realize that kratom is nothing like cocaine or even weed, you will feel more confident in letting people know.
When I first tried kratom it was from a head shop, this obviously puts a judgemental spin on ones mind.
A head shop is primarily for “stoners” who are looking for marijuana accessories.
Although there are other things apart from drug paraphanelia, I believe it is safe to say to majority of a head shops clients, are potheads.
Should I be Worried About Others Judging It
You may be the type of person who cares a great deal what others think of them.
Although this is not a healthy mindset to have, I completely understand it as I was the exact same way, not just with kratom, but with life.
Perhaps like me, you will also be able to break free from the clutches of society and their negative judgement. It helps to know that you are not always right when it comes to what others think about you, most times in fact, you are wrong.
Circling back to kratom and the people around you will come down to how you are as a person.
However, it would benefit you to understand that kratom is in the coffee family, and instead of being brown like its close relative, it is green, mother natures colour.
Having it be judged by others will ultimately stop and start with you. If when people ask you what that green powder is and you get defensive or sketchy, than it is only natural for one to wonder what is up.
IF however, you treat it like it were coffee and give people a resource to learn about kratom (Like … Kratombible for instance … ) than you will feel much more confident having them know about your kratom consumption.
Also we humans fear what we do not understand, shedding some knowledge on a situation can sometimes help it progress much more smoothly than it would have without the right facts.
Kratom is a plant that is getting extremely mixed messages from the people who inhabit North America. The media has been able to take a simple plant like kratom and do what they do best, spin it so that people get emotions from it.
Rather than focusing on the extreme benefits this plant gives, they make up false claims and fraudulent evidence that makes the people cringe with fear.
The media is especially good at grabbing your attention by using your loved ones or kids to get a rise of fear, and, it usually works.
Unfortunately fear is the most powerful emotion that we have and there have been a lot of studies to prove this.
No doubt made by the media to figure out exactly how to make us react emotionally.
It is important to be in tune with yourself and know what is right for you. Never seek the approval of others as this will only lead to worst feelings in the future.
Mild Depression can definitely stem from stress, especially when it comes to things outside your control, such as, others feelings.
What to do When Knowledge Does not Lead to Acceptance
If you have let your feelings be heard and backed it up with some kratom information, than you would expect that there be some understanding in the relationship.
Although some people like to believe what they want to believe and after all the information is presented they still refuse to do so.
This will need to lead to you making a serious decision.
Based on how close of a relationship you have with this person you may need to get really serious with them for a minute and express what this plant has helped you with or could help you with.
It is crucial to let them know that you rather feel good with kratom than bad without it, considering the coffee plant, a close cousin to kratom, is consumed daily, usually in excess.
Having something help you can only be determined by you, everyone may have opinions but you are the sole proprietor of your body, and YOU DECIDE what you do with it.
I will not preach cutting people out of your life because I believe that it is a very personal subject, however, I will suggest that you look very closely at your life and decide on what you personally need to do.
Living in fear of judgement is a very disempowering way of living and will do nothing to help you, this is actually a form of anxiety, kratom helps anxiety.
In Conclusion
If you are under age than you should not be taking kratom, you should only take it if you are of legal age in your area.
With this being said, I am assuming that you are of legal age, and in turn an adult.
It is important that we do not focus our lives around other peoples because this will only add further stress. Stress is a killer of your self confidence, and your brain in general.
I found a nice article talking about how stress can lead to major brain deficiencies, you can learn more by clicking here.
It is important to keep yourself calm, allowing others to throw you off course is your problem, accepting this is the first step to starting to change it.
Some people may even do this to throw you off and ruin your day. I am not sure why people do what they do however it is important to focus on yourself, rather than others.
When going about your life I just have a small tip to give. Be yourself, not what others want you to be. This will make you happier and I believe that in the end, much MUCH more fulfilled as a human being.
